![]() We have been growing organic garlic since 1989. After trying out several varieties, we chose the “Music” variety, so named for the producer who introduced it in Ontario more than 20 years ago. In addition to its incomparable taste, this variety is very reliable and highly resistant to winter and disease. When you buy our organic garlic, not only do you help keep contaminants out of our environment and maintain soil fertility, you also help promote local, organic production and contribute to our country’s food self-sufficiency. Garlic is planted in the fall and harvested in August of the next year. Our certified-organic garlic is fertilized with compost and green manure, mechanically weeded. and is free of antifungal agents or pesticides. Careful drying helps ensure excellent conservation. Certified Organic by Ecocert Canada ConservationOur fall garlic is a living product. To keep it from one harvest to the next, we store it at a temperature of over 18° C immediately after harvest. By staving off dormancy, we stop its biological clock and delay spring germination. Keep at room temperature, at hand on your kitchen counter; it’s the ideal place for it! For amateur gardeners and farm producersFor planting or for use throughout the year, our garlic is available by the kilo and packaged according to your specifications.
